To keep your STSL® products looking great for a long time

High-quality materials deserve proper care. With a few simple tips, the fit, color, and material will last as long as possible.

Before Washing

– Turn garments inside out.

– Close zippers.

– Wash similar colors together.

– Empty pockets completely.

Washing

– Wash at a maximum of 30 °C on a gentle cycle.

– Use a mild detergent.

– Avoid bleach.

– Avoid fabric softener if possible.

The less often a garment needs to be washed, the longer the color, fabric, and fit will last. Often, airing out after wearing is sufficient.

Drying

– Air dry.

– Do not dry in direct sunlight.

– Avoid using a tumble dryer if possible.

Especially heavy cotton fabrics will retain their shape and feel much longer this way.

Ironing

– Iron inside out.

– Do not iron directly on embroideries and prints.

– Iron at a low to medium temperature.

Heavyweight Cotton

Our heavy cotton fabrics develop their own character over time.

Slight changes in feel or natural creases are typical characteristics of high-quality cotton and not a quality defect.

French Terry & Brushed Fleece

Not all cotton fabrics feel the same. Besides fabric weight, the finishing of the inside plays a crucial role in comfort, warmth, and feel.

French Terry

French Terry has a characteristic loop structure on the inside. This makes the fabric breathable, pleasantly soft, and ideal for everyday wear or warmer temperatures.

Advantages:

– Pleasantly lightweight feel.
– High breathability.
– Ideal for transitional seasons and everyday wear.
– Soft inside without additional brushing.

Brushed Fleece

For Brushed Fleece, the inside of the fabric is brushed. This creates a particularly soft, fluffy surface with higher thermal insulation.

Advantages:

– Particularly soft feel.
– Warmer than French Terry.
– Ideal for cooler days.
– Characteristic heavyweight feel.

At STSL®, we choose the fabric construction to match the respective product.

French Terry is excellent for garments where breathability and everyday suitability are paramount.

Brushed Fleece is used where a particularly soft feel and extra warmth are desired.
